Connecting Pipe Screen
The HYDRA® CPS is a full capture Connector Pipe Screen (CPS), also (originally) referred to as a Catch Basin Insert (CBI). Engineered to prevent trash and debris from entering the storm drain outlet pipe, the CPS provides an effective barrier that enhances pollutant removal at the catch basin level.
Available in both radius and rectangular configurations, HYDRA® CPS units can be deployed as standalone devices or integrated with the HYDRA® Blade ARS system for comprehensive catch basin protection. Constructed entirely from 304 stainless steel, these screens are built for long-term durability and corrosion resistance in harsh stormwater environments.
Automatic Retractable Screen
The HYDRA® ARS (Automatic Retractable Screen) system utilizes independently functioning HYDRA® Blades to effectively block solid debris from entering storm drain systems. In dry conditions, the blades remain in a vertical (closed) position to prevent the ingress of trash and floatables. As water levels rise during storm events, the blades automatically retract (open) to allow water to pass through, while still impeding the entry of larger solids.
Blade deflection and responsiveness are controlled via the patented HYDRA® “Never Jam” Multi-Tensioning System, which allows field-adjustable tuning to meet site-specific hydraulic and debris load conditions.
HYDRA® Blades are available in a variety of sizes and geometries to accommodate most standard storm drain inlet configurations. Note: The system is not recommended for openings less than 3 inches in height. For proper sizing and configuration, contact your authorized HYDRA® distributor or representative.
Hydrocarbon Boom Trough
Hydrocarbon filter socks play a critical role in stormwater management by capturing oils, grease, and hydrocarbons before they enter downstream water bodies. These filtration elements contribute to improved water quality, reduced pollutant discharge, and compliance with environmental regulations—making them an essential component of sustainable stormwater treatment systems.
The HYDRA® Boom Trough is specifically engineered to support hydrocarbon filter socks with quick installation, minimizing system downtime and labor requirements. Designed for versatility and ease of use, the Boom Trough can be deployed in minutes, providing immediate containment and filtration of floatable pollutants and hydrocarbon contaminants within catch basins or other stormwater infrastructure.
Drop in filter basket insert
The HYDRA® HFTC Drop-in Filter Basket Insert is a high-performance, stainless steel filtration system engineered to intercept trash and debris at the storm drain inlet, preventing the discharge of pollutants into downstream waterways. Fabricated from 304 stainless steel and featuring 4.8 mm perforations, the insert is fully compliant with California full trash capture regulations, effectively capturing leaves, floatables, and solid waste while maintaining unobstructed stormwater flow for optimal drainage performance.
This insert’s adjustable, repositionable design allows for side-to-side movement within the catch basin without the need for removal, facilitating rapid access for inspection and treatment. This feature is especially beneficial for Vector Control personnel, enabling them to quickly identify standing water and apply larvicides or other treatments with precision—enhancing the system’s role in mosquito abatement and disease prevention.
The HYDRA HFTC Drop-in Filter Basket Insert delivers dual functionality by improving both trash capture efficiency and public health protection, reducing the risks of flooding, pollution, and the spread of waterborne illnesses. Its durable construction and user-friendly design make it an ideal solution for municipalities seeking long-term, sustainable stormwater management.

Wall – Mounted curb inlet filter basket
The HYDRA® Wall – Mounted Curb Inlet Filter Basket is a high-performance, stainless steel filtration system engineered to intercept trash and debris at the storm drain inlet, preventing the discharge of pollutants into downstream waterways. Fabricated from 304 stainless steel and featuring 4.8 mm perforations, the insert is fully compliant with California full trash capture regulations, effectively capturing leaves, floatables, and solid waste while maintaining unobstructed stormwater flow for optimal drainage performance.
This insert’s vector control viewing port allows for vector control to see into the catch basin without the need for removal, facilitating rapid access for inspection and treatment. This feature is especially beneficial for Vector Control personnel, enabling them to quickly identify standing water and apply larvicides or other treatments with precision—enhancing the system’s role in mosquito abatement and disease prevention.
